On Thursday 19 March, members of 4 Pump Court will speak at the SCL Tech Disputes Masterclass 2026.

Ben Pilling KC and Eric Shi will speak at the first session ‘Technology Case Update’.

Ben and Eric will canvas some of the key cases from last year in the technology sector. The case update will both examine the court’s developing jurisprudence in areas such as intellectual property, cryptocurrency, and/or data protection, and offer practical guidance for litigators conducting technology disputes.

Laura Wright and Rebecca Keating will speak at the fourth interactive roundtable session ‘Understanding the Impact of Quantum’.

Laura and Rebecca will introduce the technical foundations of quantum computing and its immediate implications for the legal sector. This session is designed to help disputes lawyers understand the shifting risk landscape and the evolving regulatory environment.This session will review the current legal landscape that governs quantum technologies. The panel will examine how these advancements impact substantive law—specifically data security and encryption risks, intellectual property, and the interpretation of technology contracts—while identifying the likely origins of quantum-related litigation.
