Alice Carse and Jacob Haddad to host insurance training session on aggregation clauses – Monday 30th June

On Monday 30th June at 8am, Alice Carse and Jacob Haddad will provide a whistle-stop tour of the workings of aggregation clauses across different PI policies, with a particular focus on the SRA Minimum Terms and Conditions. The topics which will be covered include:

• What aggregation means and how it can operate in different contexts.
• A closer look at aggregation in the SRA Minimum Terms and Conditions, with a focus on the recent Court of Appeal decision in Discovery Land Company LLC and others v Axis Specialty Europe SE [2024] EWCA Civ 7.
• A series of hypothetical worked examples of how aggregation problems can play out in practice.

The talk should be of interest to both those unfamiliar with insurance law and the principles of aggregation (but who wish to be introduced to the topic) and those who already have specialist knowledge in the area.
