Anthony Speaight KC appointments advising on EU and financial services

Anthony Speaight KC gave oral evidence to the House of Lords EU Select Committee together with Professor Catherine Barnard on 1st November 2016 about acquired rights after Brexit (here). The Committee has also published written evidence from him.

He has also been appointed to the Advisory Council of the Financial Services Negotiation Forum. The Forum, which was formally launched on 19th October 2016, will produce neutral, evidence-based research on the key issues relevant to the terms on which the UK will be able to conduct business after leaving the EU.

These activities follow the publication of his contribution to the Judicial Power blog on the developments of EU citizenship law (here) and his paper co-authored with Stephen Hockman KC on the boundary between EU and national law.
