Sym Hunt-Brady is developing a commercial practice across Chambers’ core areas of expertise.  He has acted on complex international disputes since 2019, having spent five years as an Associate in Skadden’s top-tier International Litigation and Arbitration team before moving to the Bar.

Sym has particular experience acting on international arbitrations under the ICC, LCIA and DIAC rules.  Sym is also experienced in litigation, both in the English Courts and abroad (particularly in the Middle East).  He has appeared unled in the High Court and is sole counsel on a range of litigation in the County Court. Sym’s practice is broad but areas of focus include: construction; energy and commodities; and technology (including blockchain and cryptocurrency).  Sym also has a particular interest in competition litigation, class actions, and litigation funding.  Aside from acting on various matters before the CAT, he has often been published regarding class action regimes and ESG litigation in England.

Whilst at Skadden, Sym was named as a ‘key lawyer’ in the International Arbitration practice (Legal500, 2024) and repeatedly named as of Best Lawyers’ Ones To Watch.
