James is one of our Practice Directors and he is responsible for the promotion and development of a team of barristers across a number of core practice areas. James works closely with the Senior Clerks and the Practice Directors to cultivate client relationships and strategise and implement business development initiatives both domestically and internationally.
James graduated with an Upper-Second Class Honours degree in History from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2010, and he is a member of the IBC, LPMA, SCL, and BILA.
James takes great pride in working collaboratively with clients regarding new opportunities, and he is recognised in the legal directories with comments including; “James Duncan-Hartill is excellent”, and “James Duncan-Hartill is a really pleasant clerk to deal with”.
