International Arbitration training courses in China
This October, six barristers from our international arbitration team will be running two training courses in Shanghai and Beijing. The training will be led by Nick Vineall KC and Fiona Sinclair KC along with Iain Munro,
Andrew Stevens, Robert Scrivener and Neil Dowers.
The course is aimed at junior lawyers who have an interest and some experience in international arbitration. The emphasis will be on practical skills with interactive tasks and assessments throughout. Learning will cover the following key stages:
- Commencing an arbitration and jurisdiction
- Submissions and written statements
- Case management and interim remedies
- Disclosure and document handling: Redfern Schedules
- Witnesses and witness handling
- Expert evidence in arbitration
- Conducting an arbitration hearing
- Enforcement and challenges to an award
