On Friday 31 October, Aphiwan Natasha King will be speaking at the ‘19th Annual Investment Treaty Arbitration Conference: A Debate & Discussion’ in Toronto, Canada. Participating as both an author and a speaker at the conference, Natasha was invited as one of the eight investment arbitration ‘rising superstars’ to take a side in arguing one of four contentious issues.

Natasha will join the third panel discussion alongside Olivia Kaye (Outer Temple), Charles Brower (Wayne State University Law School), Timothy St. J. Ellam KC, FCIArb (McCarthy Tetrault), Geneviève Helleringer (University of Oxford & Essex Business School), and Myriam Seers (Agora). The panel will discuss “Yes or no: by the end of its term, the Trump Administration will have overthrown eight decades worth of foreign investment policy, heretofore based upon the twin pillars of liberalization and promoting the rule of law?”. The session will be moderated by Todd Weiler, an independent Arbitrator and IIDS expert.
