9th April 2026
We are delighted to announce that Neil Henderson will be returning to Chambers with effect from 7 April. Neil was called to the Bar in 2004 and has over 22 years’ experience in maritime law disputes. Neil practised at 4 Pump Court from 2014 until 2022 when he joined the Industry Liaison team at Gard, a leading marine insurer. There he was involved in initiatives on decarbonisation regulations, alternative fuels, and nuclear propulsion, as well as sitting on the Pooling Agreement Committee of the International Group of P&I Clubs.
He then joined LCI Law as a Partner, specialising in maritime and international trade law. He has advised on and litigated disputes that have included bills of lading, charterparties, collisions and groundings, commodities, marine insurance, MOAs, shipbuilding, and ship finance, as well as freezing injunctions, anti-suit injunctions and other interim and enforcement remedies.
Neil Henderson comments: “I’m excited to have rejoined Chambers, which has grown in its breadth and depth of expertise whilst I’ve been away learning more about the maritime industry.”
Joint Heads of Chambers, Sean Brannigan KC and Rachel Ansell KC, comment: “We are delighted to welcome Neil back to Chambers. He returns with a wealth of highly regarded shipping and maritime experience. His decision to return to full-time practice at the Bar is excellent news for Chambers and our clients alike.”
