Alice Carse and Jacob Haddad will provide a whistle-stop tour of the workings of aggregation clauses across different PI policies, with a particular focus on the SRA Minimum Terms and Conditions. The topics which will be covered include:
- What aggregation means and how it can operate in different contexts.
- A guide through important case law, including the recent decision in Ahmed & Ors v White & Co (UK) Limited & Allianz Global Corporate & Speciality SE [2025] EWHC 2399.
- A series of hypothetical worked examples of how aggregation problems can play outin practice.
The talk should be of interest to both those unfamiliar with insurance law and the principles of aggregation (but who wish to be introduced to the topic) and those who already have specialist knowledge in the area.
