Successful application under s.23 of the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act for administrative review

Alex Haines and the team at Quillon Law represented the successful applicant and British national Mr John Ormerod in an application under s.23 of the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act (SAMLA) for administrative review to secure the revocation of his designation under the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.

Mr Ormerod was designated by the UK Government in May 2025 and is one of just a few individuals sanctioned under the Russia Regulations that has since been de-listed.
