Lord Garnier KC served on the Joint Committee on the Draft Registration of Overseas Entities Bill, which has today published their report on the forthcoming draft law on the property market and money laundering. The report highlights the need for loopholes in the bill to be rectified to ensure that legislation successfully deters money laundering in the UK property market. Areas on which key recommendations were made include draft law on trusts, exemptions, accuracy and enforcement.
