Are you preparing for a career at the Commercial Bar? 4 Pump Court invites current LLB and GDL students across the UK to compete in our 2026 Speed Moot.
Work through an authentic brief taken directly from a past 4PC final-round pupillage interview, put your oral advocacy to the test, and gain direct insight into life at the Commercial Bar.
KEY STAGES
[1] BRIEF RELEASE | 17 OCTOBER 2026
– Released live at the Bar Council Pupillage Fair and online.
[2] VIRTUAL ROUND 1 | 5 NOVEMBER 2026
– 48 places available across four virtual courtrooms.
– 10 minutes of oral argument per advocate.
– 5 minutes of individualised feedback from a practising tenant.
– Four finalists selected (one per courtroom).
[3] THE SPEED MOOT FINAL & RECEPTION | 24 NOVEMBER 2026
– Held in Central London at 4 Pump Court.
– 30-minute speed moot: 4 finalists paired as Appellant and Respondent (7 minutes per speaker).
– Presided over by a senior KC.
– Followed immediately by Chambers’ annual recruitment evening and networking drinks.
