As part of our Next Gen Series, Ed Jones (co-author of Bareboat Charters), Galen Lambert, and Kaity Crowe will provide an overview of common issues that arise under bareboat charters, with a particular focus on the practical solutions to the problems that most frequently arise, including:
- The nature of a bareboat charter, common types of bareboat arrangements and practical and legal consequences.
- Delivery and redelivery disputes, including common flashpoints concerning the vessel’s condition on redelivery.
- Termination and repossession, including the practical and legal pitfalls faced by an owner seeking to repossess a vessel following termination of a bareboat charter.
