We are thrilled to have won LGBT+ Initiative of the Year last night at the Women and Diversity in Law Awards. We were commended for our inaugural Pride Moot that took place in June last year. Rachel Ansell KC and Daniel Churcher had a wonderful time at the ceremony last night.
We are pleased that our work promoting equality at the Bar has been recognised. A huge amount of time and effort went into the creation of this initiative, with special mention to Richard Osborne, Daniel Churcher, Matthew Thorne and Elliott Cook. Richard comments “We are thrilled to win this award, and hope that the 4 Pump Court Pride week moot can continue to send a message that equality and diversity are valued and celebrated at the commercial bar.”
We would like to thank Lady Justice Carr for judging the final; we look forward to welcoming her back this year.
We are also grateful to have had support from James Pollock, Emily Monastiriotis and David Kidman (Simmons & Simmons) and Paul Maddock (DWF).
Entries for this year’s Pride Moot will open soon. We are excited to continue supporting aspiring lawyers who are both members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community.
